“Jean-Charle(s) est un être curieux du monde qui l’entoure. Dans son club de fitness il fait la connaissance d’une dénommée Natasha, qui sera immédiatement portée disparue dès le lendemain de leur première rencontre. Suite à cet événement, Jean-Charle(s) fera face à d’inquiétants phénomènes entourant cette mystérieuse disparition.”
Le point initial de cette exposition est un court-métrage de 1 minute réalisé de façon spontanée. Pensé comme un épisode pilote d’une série qui serait impossible à financer, cette exposition propose un aperçu visuel et conceptuel de ce à quoi pourrait ressembler le projet.
Ainsi l’ensemble des œuvres graphiques présentées (gravures, peintures, éditions, dessins, t-shirts) se lient de près comme de loin à l’univers diégétique de la série.
L’espace de la galerie se veut être une salle de jeu elle aussi improvisée. Ballons gonflables et parpaing se côtoient, évoquant le désordre et l’inquiétante étrangeté inhérents à la série.
Cette exposition s’est déroulée à la galerie KG Corner Printing à Tokyo, de septembre à octobre 2019.

“Jean-Charle(s) is an inquisitive entity, deeply engaged with the intricacies of his surrounding environment. Within the confines of his fitness club, he encounters a woman named Natasha, who inexplicably vanishes the day after their initial meeting. In the aftermath of this event, Jean-Charle(s) is confronted with a series of disquieting phenomena related to this mysterious disappearance.”
The genesis of this exhibition is a spontaneously produced one-minute short film. Conceptualized as a pilot episode for a series that would be, by nature, unfeasible to finance or produce, the exhibition offers a visual and theoretical exploration of the project's potential form. Consequently, all graphic works displayed—including engravings, paintings, prints, drawings, and t-shirts—are intrinsically linked, both directly and indirectly, to the diegetic universe constructed within the series.
The gallery itself is curated to resemble an impromptu play space. Elements such as inflatable balloons and cinder blocks coexist within the space, symbolizing the pervasive disorder and unsettling eeriness that characterize the narrative of the series.
This exhibition was held at the KG Corner Printing gallery in Tokyo, from September to October 2019.
